Irish Sign Language Home Tuition Scheme
This scheme offers Irish Sign Language tuition to children and their families up to the age of 18. Tuition is provided in the family-home. Current allocations of hours are:
1 hour per week during the school year (September – June).
7.5 hours during the summer months of July and August.
A grant is paid directly to parents who are responsible for finding their own tutor. Often, a Visiting Teacher will help parents to source a tutor. The Deaf Education Centre has a list of tutors that can be made available to parents or Visiting Teachers on request by emailing info@deafeducation.ie.
How Do I Apply:
You must apply through the Visiting Teacher for the ISL Home Tuition Scheme.
